cry your dreams
child,
cry silent your screams
as
still again,
those masters of war
face our souls
and try to ignore.
the broken tears
lying
shattered still,
across graveyards
too full.
our children
there they lie,
lost to reason
lost to sky
fatherless children
asking
still asking why?
do we bleed
our eyes blind,
dreaming
chanting still,
for peace
for reason
for a season
of belief in more.
